Cameron Leckenby grew up in Cinnabar Valley, Nanaimo, and is the son of a working-class immigrant to Canada. He was worked for two MPs and a BC MLA. Cameron is ready to put his experience to work and deliver practical solutions for the community that he is proud to call home.
Cameron Leckenby grew up in Cinnabar Valley, Nanaimo, and is the son of a working-class immigrant to Canada. He graduated as valedictorian from John Barsby Community School and attended VIU and UVIC, where he earned his bachelor’s degree. To pay for his education, he worked since the age of 18 in unionized positions at BC Ferries and the Regional District of Nanaimo.
Cameron has years of experience serving the community through the constituency offices of two federal Members of Parliament, as well as a BC Member of the Legislative Assembly and Cabinet Minister. This experience provided him with a strong understanding of government, public service and the issues facing people in Nanaimo. Cameron is ready to put his experience to work and deliver practical solutions for the community that he is proud to call home.
