Biography
For 13 years I owned and operated Laura’s Coffee Corner in White Rock. As a small business owner I experienced success and devastation, including losing my business to the 2016 Fire at Five Corners at the Ocean Ridge. Those experiences taught me resilience and the importance of a strong community.
My involvement in White Rock has extended beyond my business. As a past board member of the White Rock BIA, I have worked alongside local businesses, supported community initiatives and fundraisers, and listened to the concerns of people who live and work here.
I am running because I believe residents deserve a City Council that listens, communicates openly, spends responsibly, and makes decisions with the long-term interests of White Rock in mind.
I want to support our local businesses, protect the character of our community, improve services for residents, and encourage thoughtful development that respects what makes White Rock special.
After 19 years of living, working, raising my family, and giving back here, I am ready to serve in a new way.
I understand the challenges that a resident and small business owner face. I am Laura Cornale and I’m not running to speak for White Rock. I’m running to listen to White Rock.
