I’ve lived in Richmond for 20+ years and am an ordained United Church Minister. I was first elected as a school trustee when my children were attending our public schools. I served two terms on the school board, including two years as Board Chair and six as Policy Committee Chair.
I hold a B.Comm (hons) degree in finance and bring a proven record of:
• responsive, ethical leadership
• determined advocacy for students
• commitment to collaborative community engagement
• sound financial oversight
If elected I will champion:
• safe, welcoming, discrimination-free schools
• classroom supports and specialist teachers
• responsible technology
• seismic and childcare-friendly facilities upgrades
• respectful, transparent decision-making processes
Current community service:
• Member of the Richmond Poverty Reduction Coalition
• President, Granville Gardens Housing Co-op
• Board of Governors, Vancouver School of Theology
I’m running with Empower Education Richmond. Let’s work together to equip our students to shape their future with confidence!
