Jinny Sims has spent her career working for people and building strong communities that are safe and inclusive for all.

Jinny was first elected as the MLA for Surrey-Panorama in 2017 and served as B.C.’s Minister of Citizens’ Services. She previously served as the Member of Parliament for Newton-North Delta from 2011 to 2015.

She is no stranger to standing up for people and fighting for the things that matter. As past president of the BC Teachers’ Federation, Jinny has been an advocate for children, families, and schools. And as a prominent radio talk show host, she has given voice to people in the community to speak about the issues that matter to them.

As an active community member, Jinny knows that while Surrey is a great place to live, it can be even better. She is committed to tackling extortion and organized crime, keeping our streets safe and giving young people the opportunities and support they need to stay away from gangs.
