Biography
Neil Chapman knows Burnaby from both sides. He moved to Burnaby in the early 1980s, at the age of six. As a teenager, Neil began working in door-to-door sales. He learned an important lesson early: listening comes before leading. People want to be heard, and meaningful solutions begin by understanding their lived experiences.
That principle remains central to Neil’s approach today. Neil is an independent entrepreneur who operates three businesses: a home-improvement contracting business, a catering business, and a keto food-products company, where he leads marketing and product development.
Through these ventures, he has learned the practical discipline required to manage budgets, control costs, serve customers, create jobs, and make responsible decisions every day.
He wants to bring this real-world business experience and practical perspective to Burnaby City Council. Neil believes in accountable taxation, efficient and reliable public services, and policies that deliver meaningful results for everyday residents.
Neil is not running on political credentials. He is running on common sense, commitment, and a genuine respect for the people who call Burnaby home. He believes residents deserve a councillor who understands the pressures they face—from the rising cost of living to concerns about safety, housing, and the future of their neighbourhoods.
Burnaby needs more than promises and political talking points. It needs practical action, responsible leadership, and accountability. Neil Chapman
