Brent is a family lawyer who move to Edmonton after law school in 1992. He has been volunteer counsel for Alberta Justice Resolution Services since 2005, currently Past President of ELOPE Musical Theatre and President of the Edmonton Blue Crew Umpire's Association.

Brent is a family lawyer, husband and father who move to Edmonton after law school in 1992. He has spent his career often providing legal services to marginalized families who otherwise would not have counsel. Brent has been volunteer counsel for the Resolution Services since 2005 and received acknowledgement from the Minister of Justice in 2018 for having completed over 1000 successful mediations. In the community, Brent Past President of Edmonton's oldest musical theatre company and President of his softball umpires’ association. He has officiated at the local, Provincial and National Level and is the Umpire in Chief for the Alberta Indigenous Games.

Brent was first drawn to the concept of the Canadian Future Party through his interest with Centre Ice Canadians. The Party's philosophy for evidence based policies was a perfect fit for his distaste of rigid ideology and strict partisan beliefs in the 'left and right'.
