Local Government, Planning, & Democracy
Biography
My story is one of transition from finance to purpose, and from metrics to meaning. For a long time, my world revolved around numbers managing financial portfolios, markets, and performance. I transitioned into leadership development and social impact work because I believe real growth happens when systems are designed with people at the centre. Driven by that conviction, my career is now focused on youth empowerment advocating for financial capability as a life skill, cultural democracy, inclusive growth and equity-focused initiatives that benefit our communities and economy alike.
Youth are the heart of a resilient community, and public education is the single most important public service we have. I am running not just because of my background, but because I am deeply passionate about youth development, and all of my current work directly aligns with the responsibilities of a School Trustee.
As a Lynn Valley mother of two children in elementary school, my commitment to this community is deeply personal. Beyond my hands-on volunteer work and active school engagement, I hold a strong educational foundation as a Yale World Fellow and Oxford alumna with dual Master’s degrees in Business Administration and Information Systems. I bring analytical rigor, strategic vision, and a deep financial understanding of how taxpayer dollars are managed.
As a board leader, volunteer, and advocate for early-childhood financial literacy, I have spent years building bridges across cultures and generations. My priority is helping young people build essential life skills, confidence, and resilience to thrive in an ever-changing world all through human-centered governance that supports students, families, and educators alike.
