I’ve lived here all my life, I’m the longest serving Councillor on the North Shore. I make common sense decisions to protect the livability of our community. And if you reach out to me, I call you back!

I feel grateful that the community has placed their trust in me over these many years. Other than being a mother, it has been the most important work I have ever had the privilege of being involved in. Over the last 15 years this community has seen much change, creating new communities for families, while protecting the single family neighborhoods that we love. As we continued to advance redevelopment, I believe we did not focus as we should have on the impacts of change. Traffic congestion has many contributors, internal movement, neighbouring growth, expansion of industry, the volume of cars driving through to the Island, Coast and Sea to Sky, and quite simply the over capacity of the bridges. In this very challenging economic time, we need to pivot, focus on clear control of spending, lowering tax’s to address the uncertainty of the NSWWTP, assess the impact of change on the natural environment, and focus on maintaining our current house before we continue to expand. The future is uncertain, we need to move cautiously and make responsible decisions. The Official Community Plan is meant to be a living document, subject to change, and yet it has been implemented with a focus on fast approval of redevelopment above anything else. The plan envisioned a complete sustainable community, but it has not delivered the services, infrastructure, protection of the environment, or the sustainable financial means to support it. We have used development to pay for things, and now the tap has been turned off and we are wondering how will we move forward. The community has experienced unprecedented growth, not just in the District, but all over the North Shore and the region. Traffic congestion, taxes, jobs, affordability, have all contributed to anxiety about what we are doing.....and now the uncertainty of our economy amid the worlds challenges raise the stress of “can we afford it”? I believe we need the benefits of growth, but we need to pace ourselves and catch up with our infrastructure. We need to co ordinate with our neighbors and hold control over our zoning in order to manage the impact of change. We have alot of work in front of us. I am experienced and passionate about this place I grew up in..... I respectfully ask for your continued support on October 17 2026. Thank you!

To challenge the status quo, it bring corporate historical knowledge to the Council table, to speak up for the community!
