Vernon has been home for my family and I for over 20 years. I have seen many town officials come and go all promising to fix the same issues plaguing our community today.

Affordable housing is an ongoing issue in Vernon that prevents people from moving into our community but also pushes out young adults who grew up in Vernon to other more affordable communities. I would like to see more multi-use construction to increase both retail space and affordable housing options in the same footprint and prevent urban sprawl.

Water security for a city this size should not depend so heavily on a source that rely’s upon snowfall in a Province known for mild winters. We have spent the summer in a stage 3 water restriction while surrounded by far more dependable sources of water. Our city needs to increasing our capacity to treat water from other reliable sources and it will be a top priority for me.

Tax dollars need to be spent where they are needed most, on the unsexy things like roads and infrastructure not on projects that don't serve our community and do not provide a good return on investment.

For the last 28 years I have dedicated my professional life working for the same company. Which means all the decisions I make would not be influenced by any personal agenda but by what would be best for the people of Vernon. I will also not be accepting any donations from any corporations or entity’s because I believe politician should be beholden to their constituents not the corporations that fund them. I promise to make decisions that benefit our community as a whole by listening to all the people of Vernon not just those who yell the loudest.
