I grew up on the territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations, and I am grateful to now live on the territory of the Snuneymuxw First Nation. These communities have shaped my understanding of connection, community, and the importance of listening. I believe Truth and Reconciliation must be reflected in the decisions we make and the relationships we build in our schools.

Throughout my career, I have worked alongside neurodivergent students and their families. That experience taught me the value of inclusive education, individualized support, and listening to students and families about what they need to succeed. Today, as a healthcare social worker, I see firsthand how barriers within our systems and gaps in resources affect people every day. Those experiences have strengthened my commitment to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive.

I believe in strong public education, strong unions, and strong communities. Our schools should be places where every student feels safe, respected, and connected. I support inclusive education, including SOGI-inclusive learning environments, so that all students can see themselves reflected in their schools and know they belong.

I believe families deserve a voice, students deserve to be heard, and educators and support staff deserve respect. As a trustee, I will bring compassion, transparency, and a collaborative approach to decision-making, always keeping students at the centre of the work.
