I am a proud socialist, running as an independent candidate in my first municipal election. I have called Surrey home for over a decade and want to make the city more affordable and livable for its working class. My platform includes affordable housing, rent freeze, progressive property tax reform, enhanced recreation programs, reduced policing budgets and free transit among other things. Surrey’s working class toils and sweats to make the city what it is, and it is grossly unfair that only the ultra rich reap the benefits of it all. As your city councillor I will ensure that working class needs, and not land developer and corporate needs, are at the forefront of every decision made at city hall.
