Anne Whitmore is President of Surrey DPAC (on leave), leadership coach and longtime public education advocate. She built a collaborative advocacy model with the Surrey Teachers' Association and CUPE 728 that she presented at the BCTF Public Education Conference.

Anne's advocacy helped protect StrongStart programs, champion alternative education, bring Surrey's education needs to the Legislature and push for greater transparency and accountability in district decision-making. She has worked with families, education partners and provincial leaders across political lines to advocate for the resources Surrey students need.

Anne is running with Our Surrey because students deserve Enough Space to learn, Enough Support to succeed and Enough Trust in the people making decisions.

As trustee, she will bring experienced, collaborative leadership to the Board, ask hard questions, listen to the community and advocate for inclusive, well-resourced public schools where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
