Dr. Michelle Ceniza is a family physician, mother of three and youth advocate.

As a family doctor she sees the mental health pressures facing today’s students and teachers. She believes families, schools and health care professionals have to work in genuine partnership if we want every child to truly thrive.

A leader from her earliest school years through medical school, Michelle stepped back from that to focus on her family and career. In recent years she has returned to active community life as a parent volunteer, supporting programs that help shape kids to become capable adults.

An avid reader who believes that Readers are Leaders, Michelle is running for School Trustee with a physician’s calm judgment, a parent’s lived experience, and a deep respect for teachers, so that every Surrey student has the support they need to build a strong future.
