Vick Karan is a lifelong Surrey resident, dedicated public servant, and passionate advocate for students, families, and strong public education.

Having grown up in Surrey’s vibrant and diverse community, Vick deeply understands that strong schools build stronger communities. He believes that every child deserves a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where they can thrive, and every family deserves a clear, meaningful voice in their children's education.

Vick brings a wealth of practical leadership, financial responsibility, and transparency to the table through his work in municipal government and as Treasurer of CUPE Local 718. He is a proven collaborator who knows how to get things done for the community.

As a member of the Our Surrey team, Vick is ready to listen, work together and put students first. He will champion well-resourced schools, safe and welcoming learning environments, and opportunities for every child to reach their full potential.
